The Respite Program is designed to offer relief to those individuals who are the constant caregivers for someone in their home by allowing the caregiver some time for themselves. This service is free and is offered to all persons living within the parish boundaries, Catholic and non-Catholic alike. Volunteers are not expected to administer medications, to do housework, or food preparation. They act solely as a companion to the home bound. Respite volunteers are trained and insured through the National Council of Catholic Women. If you are interested in either becoming a volunteer, or are in need of their help, please call Mary Lou or Bill Rehring at (239) 263-5432.
