New Parishioner Information

Welcome!

As a new parishioner, we are happy to invite you to the newcomer's luncheon hosted by the Parish Staff. We hold these luncheons several times a year to provide an opportunity for newcomers to meet some of our parishioners and priests while enjoying a meal. Staff members have an opportunity to share with our new parishioners so they can learn about some of the opportunities available to help them become involved at St. William.  The date for the next luncheon will announced in the bulletin and on the website.

Are You a Member of the Parish?

“Active” membership at a parish enables a person to be eligible to sponsor a child for baptism, to receive financial aid for Catholic education, to be married in the parish and to prepare one’s children for the Sacraments.   To be an “active” member is to participate in the life of prayer and stewardship in the parish.  All adults over the age of 21, living with their parents or on their own, must register in the parish to be considered members.  The use of the offering envelopes is the way that an individual develops a history of sharing treasure with the parish.  Participating in one or more of the ministries offered by the parish is proof of the sharing of time and talent for the greater good of the parish community.  If you are not registered with our parish, please pick up a registration form from the parish office, CCW Gift Shop, or register online by CLICKING HERE.   If you have any questions, please feel free to call the parish office during regular business hours and we will be happy to help you.

When you complete the registration form and return it to the office, the information will be put into our system.  Once activated, you will begin receiving offertory envelopes unless otherwise noted on your registration form.  You will receive a welcome packet in the mail that contains information which will be beneficial to you and your family regarding parish life at Saint William.  These will provide you with descriptions and contact information for the various organizations and ministry opportunities available to you at our parish.  Welcome to our parish family!

OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults)

Roman Catholics must register at a parish especially if they need Sacraments (Baptism, Marriage, Confirmation, First Communion) or are participating in any Faith Formation Program.

Adult Catholics who need to complete their Sacraments of Initiation (First Communion or Confirmation) participate in the OCIA Program.  Form more information, please click here to be directed to the OCIA page.

Non-Catholics either Baptized in another Christian Denomination or Unbaptized should pray and seek the Holy Spirit's counsel in becoming Roman Catholic. The Catholic Church uses a formation process for those seekers. It is called OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults).  Please contact the Parish Office for more information.
