High School Faith Formation
The Saints of Yesterday...
...and those called to be Saints of Today!
Saint William High School Youth Group seeks to provide a continual encounter with Christ through catechesis, Sacramental preparation, community, service, and other opportunities at the parish and beyond. Youth Group provides peer to peer and adult to peer discipleship. Relationships with peers and adults who are actively practicing their faith provide a solid foundation for our teens to grow and thrive.
Youth Group seeks to meet the teens where they are and walk with them on their spiritual journey and provides the opportunity for teens to come together, enjoy community, develop friendships, seek support for their growing faith, engage in fun activities, and meet other Catholic teens outside their parish community.
All teens in grade 9-12 are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate in Youth Group. This includes students who are in Confirmation preparation, students who have been Confirmed, and high school students who are not in Confirmation preparation and have not been Confirmed--including friends!
Meeting Dates & Times:
- High School Youth Group meets every Sunday evening from 4:00-6:00pm.
Registration:
- Please register your child for High School Youth Group. Registration must be completed before the meeting on Sunday, August 24,2025
Volunteers:
- Youth Group is seeking volunteers to help with activities. If you are interested in volunteering your time & talent, please contact Linda Giacalone, Saint William Youth Minister.
- Volunteers must go through the Safe Environment Training program of the Diocese of Venice. For more information on the process to become a volunteer visit the link below.

Confirmation Information
In the Diocese of Venice, the Sacrament of Confirmation is conferred after a minimum of two years of continual preparation through the parish. For a teen, preparation can begin after the completion of 8th grade. Along with Confirmation classes, teens are also required to participate in Youth Group (Sunday Evenings at St. WIlliam) and other parish activities while in Sacramental preparation for Confirmation. Retreats, Rallies, and Youth Conference
Retreats, Rallies, and Youth Conferences offer teens the unique opportunity to "retreat" from their normal, busy, everyday life and take time to encounter the Living God through the Sacraments,
community, activities, nature, and silence. This encounter with God
is necessary for teens to develop their relationship with God and continue to grow in their faith.
Teens are encouraged to attend at least one (1) retreat/rally/
conference a year.
