SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES (or Faith Sharing Groups) begin the week of February 3.  Sign up for these groups is today at all the Masses.  New and prior participants who are interested need to complete the sign up cards that will be provided in the pews and drop them in this week’s collection basket or return them to the parish office.  These groups meet weekly during Lent to discuss how the Sunday readings relate to our faith journey and our lives as Catholics in action.  These groups provide for great discussion or listening, new friends, and the promise of a joyful Easter.  There will be a Kick-Off Luncheon on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 2 PM in the church hall.  If you have any questions or have facilitated a group, please call Joan Szot, 261-3632.

When worshiping in a community the size of Saint William, it can sometimes be difficult to experience the companionship that a community of faith can offer. Small Faith Sharing Groups are an opportunity to gather in an intimate community to reflect on scripture, providing companions for your journey, support for your ministry and service, and a deeper understanding and appreciation of your faith. Using lectionary based materials, individuals come together in groups of about ten, to share their faith and their lives based in scripture.  By strengthening the faith of the participants and providing an opportunity to spread the message of Jesus, Small Faith Sharing Groups strengthen the Church.

Membership:
Any member of the Saint William Parish Community

Meetings:
The groups meet at least during the seasons of Advent and Lent, and some groups meet through the year. Meeting times vary.
