Small Faith Sharing GroupsContact: SCC: Small Christian Communities are our faith-sharing groups that meet weekly and share with one another their reflections and thoughts on the Scripture readings of the upcoming Sunday liturgy. They also discuss how the readings impact their lives and how they might live out their faith, and they pray with one another as friends and followers in Christ. It is a good opportunity to enhance your faith and build good friendships based on shared beliefs. If you were involved in one of our Small Christian Communities and want to get back into your group or if you think you would be interested in joining such a group, now is the time. The weekend of January 23 and 24 will be Sign-Up Weekend. We will have cards for signing up and someone at the parish hall to answer questions. The “Kickoff Dinner” for those participating will be Sunday February 14th following the 12:45 PM mass and groups will begin meeting that week. For more information on reconnecting or getting started call Joan Szot at 261-3632 or email her at JKFASZOT@aol.com
When worshiping in a community the size of Saint William, it can sometimes be difficult to experience the companionship that a community of faith can offer. Small Faith Sharing Groups are an opportunity to gather in an intimate community to reflect on scripture, providing companions for your journey, support for your ministry and service, and a deeper understanding and appreciation of your faith. Using lectionary based materials, individuals come together in groups of about ten, to share their faith and their lives based in scripture. By strengthening the faith of the participants and providing an opportunity to spread the message of Jesus, Small Faith Sharing Groups strengthen the Church. Membership: Meetings: |
