Council of Catholic Women

Saint William Council of Catholic Women’s Luncheon is held the first Friday of the month from October through April. All women of the parish, whether members or not are invited to join us. We gather after the 12:10 Mass for lunch and a speaker. Our business meetings take place the Monday prior to the luncheon and all are invited to come and learn about the Council.

For information concerning membership please contact

Rita Bates Rita908@yahoo.com 649-6741 or

Rita Cecil, bcecil1698@aol.com 262-3869.

The Council is an affiliated organization of the National Council of Catholic Women and the Venice Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, and is committed to the support, empowerment, and education of all Catholic women.  They recognize the gifts that women bring to the church, community, and family through spirituality, leadership, and service.  All women of the parish are invited to join.  For more information please click here.

Knights of Columbus

This is a unique society of Catholic Laymen devoted to the priorities of Mother Church.  Their programs include the strengthening of family life, support for Catholic education, initiatives in the evangelization, promotion of vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and revival of devotion to the Blessed Virgin particularly through the rosary.  All facets of the brotherhood of Knights are active in religious, charitable, civic, philanthropic and patriotic affairs, as well as social programs and events held at the Church.  For more information please click here.

Respite

The Respite Program is designed to offer relief to those individuals who are the constant caregivers for someone in their home by allowing the caregiver some time for themselves.  This service is free and is offered to all persons living within the parish boundaries, Catholic and non-Catholic alike.  Volunteers are not expected to administer medications, to do housework, or food preparation.  They act solely as a companion to the homebound.  Respite volunteers are trained and insured through the NCCW (National Council of Catholic Women).  If you are interested in either becoming a volunteer, or are in need of their help, please call Mary Lou or Bill Rehring at (239) 263-5432.
